I am a British Asian contemporary Indian artist, self-taught since childhood. My distinctive style is characterized by bold paintings that draw inspiration from rich memories of rural India, the human form, nature, and the significant roles of women and work. I am a self-taught British Asian contemporary Indian artist who has been painting since childhood. Originally from India, I moved to the UK in the 1970s. I initially established myself as the UK's first Asian Graphic Artist, known for designing Diwali cards, wedding invitations, and Bhangra record covers. Now in retirement, I dedicate my time to transforming sketches into contemporary paintings, exploring themes close to my heart.
